The National Curriculum Framework Pre-Primary is intended to guide and support early childhood educators, the community and all stakeholders
in the education of children aged 3 to 5 years. It is in line with Government vision as spelt out in the policy document “Towards a Quality Curriculum”
(2006) and, more recently, in the “Education and Human Resource Strategy Plan” (2008-2020).
Pre-Primary Education is considered pivotal in building the foundations upon which all future learning ultimately depends. Its overall goal is to develop
the intellectual, spiritual, socio emotional and psycho-motor skills, knowledge and attitudes of children between the age of 3 and 5 years to their full
potential and to foster within them a strong sense of self confidence and self-esteem.
