Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are now fully recognized as playing a key role in economic growth and in improving living standards.
More jobs are being created in small and medium enterprises than in large ones, as indicated by data from the last two censuses of economic
activities (CEA) and the Continuous Multi-Purpose Household Survey (CMPHS).
Value added generated by SMEs is also on the rise.
