The Government is much concerned about the proper and effective usage of energy in Mauritius. The main activities of the Government revolves around the formulation of policies and strategies in the energy, water and wastewater sectors and the establishment of a responsive legal framework to govern the development of these sectors. Moreover, the Government ensures energy and water security, safe disposal of wastewater and peaceful use of nuclear technology and ionizing sources.
